The global pandemic has hit Palestine hard. With over 3,000 deaths and nearly 300,000 infections its put our health systems under strain, left families bereaved and changed all our lives in some way.
Bethlehem has taken a huge economic hit as a city with an economy almost completely dependent on tourism. Closed borders means that we at Holy Land Trust have lost our main source of income too as we have not been able to welcome people here for our travel and encounter programmes.
Despite all this we have continued to develop new programmes for the long term strengthening of our communities, responded to the crisis of Covid-19 and developed our world wide movement of solidarity for Palestine.
